KNITTING SONG

I came across this knitting song on someone else's blog, and i thought I'd steal if for my own :) why not hey!?

&&<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">lt</span>;span class="<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">blsp</span>-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">lt</span></span>&<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">lt</span>;/span>;a &<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">lt</span>;span class="<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">blsp</span>-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">href</span></span>&<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">lt</span>;/span>="http://sophiemadeleine.bandcamp.com/track/the-knitting-song">The Knitting Song by Sophie Madeleine&&<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">lt</span>;span class="<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">blsp</span>-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">lt</span></span>&<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12">lt</span>;/span>;/a>

i never showed you my cross-stitched owl i did AGES ago... isn't he quaint!?

and this little reversible fellow is Clark, a gift for the boyfriend :) half alien, half.... something else!

i made Clark, as a thank you for the picture Robbie drew for me.
i get AWFUL migraines you see, and i have to lie in a very strange position in order to try and sleep it off. i cant explain why! but this is one of my best presents yet i think! thanks Rob! :)

so, i finished my letter G for the knitted poem. i still have to block it and send it off in the post. but here is the finished piece. I'm quite proud of it!

I've been ikea shopping... i love ikea! i got some material while i was there. i love their stuff, and it's always reasonably cheap too! here are some samples:

isn't it all yummy? that stripey one was only £1 for the metre! BARGAINS!

so, knitting.... I've started a scarf. early i know, but I'm only going to be working on it during my knitting group, so it'll be a slow burner I'm sure! my friend Jane got me the wool, perfect colour for me, too! and ever so soft :)

...i think i lied before when i said that the picture was the best present ever.... THIS IS!

MY NEW SEWING BOX!!!!!!!!
isn't it great. Hand painted by the boyfriend. i love it so much!

Monday, 10 August 2009

I told you i was in another magazine.... here's the proof!

possibly the worst photo of me they could have chosen! but never mind.

as i've posted before, my boyfriend robbie is very good at drawing, painting, and basically anything creative. he made this for my wall a couple of days ago, as i was unwell. isn't that cute!

it's slow process on the cardigan i started knitting AGES ago. morning echo. but i have been busy with other things i suppose. i'm still keen to do it though. i really like the lace border it has. here it is so far:

i feel these pictures do not show the wool in it's best light. wool? it's not even wool, silly me, it's soya! one of the reasons i love it. yum yum yum.

has anyone else signed up for the Knit a Poem with the Poetry Society? i was assigned the letter G. it's taking me a tad longer than i thought it would, as the rules on how to do the colour work are quite strict, and it is not how i normally do it. but here's my attempt so far:

i thought i'd show my latest purchases, as i love getting new things :)
my new shoes (bargain! only £20, and wooly and pink!), new books and my new bowl.

i'm in black and white there... as this was my 'ill day' so i looked like death. and everyone looks better in black and white dont they!? has anyone else read the Otomen manga? i love it! the second one should be on it's way in the post right now! Tom Baker's book, 'The Boy Who Kicked Pigs' was also good, a short story, but worth a read i say!

i'm getting in to sewing a lot at the moment. and so i should be, as i've hardly used the sewing machine i got for my birthday.... but i will be now. i'm making dolls! weird dolls! pics up as soon as i finish one. i also need the practise, as i'm pretty determind to make a dress for my brother's wedding, which isn't untill May next year, so plenty of prep time.

the pin cushions from the last post have all sold :) yaaaaaaaay! so i whipped up a few more yesterday, hearts this time, but i will probably make more cakes today. i MUST buy some more black felt actually.

that's all for now. i'm leaving for a creative afternoon!

Aren't we creative?

so, i whipped up these little beauties the other day :)
they're for sale.... i think they're very cute.

i've called them pincushions, but really, they look pretty good just hanging on a door handle or just general decoration.

....just wait till you see my next inventions!

my lovely boyfriend drew this for me...

it has everything i love on it, and the girl is me :) isn't he lovely! his drawing skills make me jealous, but as long as he keeps making things for me, i'm happy.

i've also made some more "1 <3 tea" brooches. they've sold well, which is great. i must come up with other things to put on them other than "tea" or "cake." any ideas???

calling all vegans!
who has noticed these in tesco?

100% natural, 100% vegan.... 88p. cant go wrong! they're very filling too. i snacked on just one bar all afternoon. worth a try!

and one last note... I'M IN A MAGAZINE AGAIN!!!! (that'll be 3 times now... not that i'm counting.)
i'm going to purchase it tomorrow, so i'll scan a picture in.
